Astronauts are Awesome!

This week we had read a story about astronauts and the kids were really interested in the topic. I then contacted the middle school science teacher and asked him to give a short presentation about astronauts! The kids loved seeing him in a suit and loved hearing about his experience when he went to NASA about 10 years ago. Thanks Mr. Cadman!

Community Helpers in Our Classroom!

The kids have LOVED the new community helper items we have placed throughout the centers. Below are only a few pictures of what has been going on in our room this week! So much fun watching them act out scenarios and helping each other.

This week we played a community helper game where we had to figure out who uses a certain tool or item. 

Then we placed it by the correct community helper!

Seeing the Fire Trucks!

On Wednesday we had the opportunity for some local fireman to come to school and teach us about all the equipment they would use on their fire trucks! During fire safety week they were unable to bring the fire trucks at the end of the day because of the buses. So we created another opportunity for them to come. The kids LOVED it to say the least!!
