Grasshopper

At the lake we ended up catching a grasshopper.

After we returned to school after our walk to the lake, we did a web on what we saw or found at the lake. 

The next day we did another web on 

trees to see what we knew about them.

Observational Drawings

Since our project approach training, we have added observational drawing in to our weekly routine. Below is our first observational drawing activity, which we kept simple so we could focus more on explaining how to do it.

We've Been Having Fun!

We have been having a lot of fun the last few weeks in preschool! Miss Amanda was gone on Monday and Tuesday of this week so not many pictures have been taken, but in the next few weeks I will make up for that!

Brinklee made a tower that was as tall as she was!

Below you will see some of the kids using the fake grass to make a fence for their animals! They all have so much creativity! It's amazing how we just add one thing to a center and they kids get so excited and can't wait to use it!

Styrofoam and Marbles

While getting to know everyone the first few weeks, the students had to work as a team to put the golf tees in the styrofoam. They were then instructed to put marbles on top without knocking them off. It was exciting to watch their expressions during this activity!
