Piñata Presented By The 5th Graders!

On Tuesday, the a few of the kids in the 5th grade class wanted to make a piñata for us! We were able to come down on Tuesday to hit it and break it open! Everyone was able to try and break it, but no one broke it open. So Miss Carol had to step in and help out! Thank you to the 5th graders for a fun time and for the yummy treats inside it!

Our Tree is Planted!

We were FINALLY able to get our classroom tree planted yesterday! The kids were so excited and can now watch it grow for years to come! Thank you to the class of high school boys who helped us out! We truly appreciate your help. PLEASE make sure you ask your child about the tree and have them show you where it is when you get a chance to come to school with them.

First we had to get wood chips to put around the base of the tree.

Then we sat and watched the high schoolers dig the hole for us!

We were able to see the roots after we 

took it out of the container it was in.

Once the tree was in the ground and packed in, 

we added our wood chips!

Now we had to complete it with a class picture!

Preschool Band!

During free choice this week, we were able to enjoy a concert put on by some of our preschoolers! :) They wrote and produced their own songs to sing to us! ;-)

Our Gifts!

Here is our Christmas gift to our families this year! Too cute!!

My Apology!

Dear Families,

I just wanted to extend my sincere apology! The last month I have not updated the blog and I am sorry! Not only have we been busy with our project, but I have also been really busy with my classes I am taking to get my masters. My #1 goal is to stay up on top of the blog for our families and friends! Homemade Applesauce!

On Friday, the Sioux Central FFA donated a box of apples to our classroom! So what better way than to make homemade applesauce! Most of the kids liked it and it also made our room smell delicious!

Now its time to do a taste test!
